These terms are between you and Redshirt Sports (“we”, “us”). They cover redshirtsports.com (the “site”).
By using the site, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the site.
The site is a college sports news publication. We do not offer user accounts, paid subscriptions, message boards, or ticket sales. If we add any of those, we will post extra terms for that feature before it goes live.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the site.
2. The site can change
We may change, pause, or remove any part of the site at any time. Stories can be updated or taken down. We do not promise the site will always be available.
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page and changing the date above. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms. A change to how disputes are handled applies only to disputes that start after we post it.
3. Our content
The articles, polls, rankings, photos, graphics, and the look of the site are owned by Redshirt Sports or by the people who licensed them to us. They are protected by copyright and trademark law.
The name Redshirt Sports, and our logos, are ours. Do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you.
We give you a personal, non-commercial license to read the site. You may:
view pages in your browser
print or save a reasonable number of pages for your own reading
share a link, or use the share buttons we provide
You may not:
copy, republish, or sell our articles, polls, photos, or graphics
frame the site or pull our pages into another site
strip copyright or credit notices
use our content to train or improve a machine-learning model
scrape, crawl, or harvest the site with a bot, except for a search engine that sends people to the original page and obeys our robots.txt
You may link to a story if the link is plain, does not use our logo, and does not imply we endorse you. We can withdraw that permission.
All rights we do not expressly give you stay with us.
4. What you send us
If you email us a tip, a pitch, a photo, or a draft, you keep ownership of it. You give us a non-exclusive license to edit, publish, and display it on the site and in our social posts, with credit where we reasonably can. You promise you have the rights to send it, and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.
We do not have to publish what you send, keep a copy, or pay you, unless we agree to that in writing first.
Do not send us anything you consider confidential. Email to a newsroom is not a confidential submission.
5. How you may use the site
Use the site only for lawful purposes. Do not:
break the law, or violate someone else’s rights
probe, overload, or disrupt the site
try to get into our systems or another person’s data
upload malware
pretend to be us, or pretend to be someone else when you write to us
collect personal information about our writers or readers
We may block access if you break these terms.
6. Opinions, rankings, and third-party links
Articles, polls, and rankings are opinion and commentary. They are not betting advice, financial advice, or a promise about a game, a team, or an athlete. Anything you do with that information is your own decision.
Some stories quote other people or link to other sites. Those views are the author’s or the source’s, not automatically ours. If you leave our site, the other site’s terms apply. We are not responsible for it.
a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized
a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the owner or the owner’s agent
your physical or electronic signature
We will review notices that include those items and remove or disable access to material when the law requires it. We may terminate repeat infringers.
8. Disclaimers and liability
The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors or harmful code.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Redshirt Sports and its writers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the site. Our total liability for a claim relating to the site will not exceed one hundred US dollars ($100). Some states do not allow these limits. In those states, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.
If you send us material, or if you use the site in a way that breaks these terms or the law, you will cover our reasonable costs and damages from claims that result, including reasonable attorneys’ fees.
9. Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Maricopa County, Arizona, or the federal courts located there, are the exclusive venue, except that either of us may bring a small claim in a court that has jurisdiction, or seek an injunction to stop misuse of our content.
Before filing, email contact@redshirtsports.com with the subject “Terms dispute” and a short description of the problem. Wait 30 days so we can try to resolve it. That wait does not apply if you need an injunction to stop ongoing harm.
10. Other terms
If a court strikes one part of these terms, the rest stays in effect. If we do not enforce a term once, we can still enforce it later. These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the site.
We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages, attacks, and failures of our host.
